This is me, Donna and I independently run The Yorkshire Lassie. I offer professional dog walking and pet visiting for York and the surrounding areas.
My inspiration for starting the business is my love for animals and the great outdoors. I understand that all pets are unique and need regular walks and playtime, and you can rest assured whilst you are away that they will be treated with the same care and attention as I give to my own. They are family after all!
When I’m not caring for your pets, you will find me spoiling my own much loved cockerpoo, Poppy.

Daily Walks
The areas I will walk and exercise your pup will be dog friendly locations away from busy roads locally, so your dog will not be travelling for long periods in a vehicle. York has many river walks and quiet fields perfect for lots of play.
All walks are specific to each customer’s needs, therefore an initial Meet and Greet will take place for me to get to know your pet, fill in paperwork and obtain a key.
1 HOUR DOG WALK
This walk includes collection of your dog from your home and 60 mins of playtime, before returning back to your home. If required by the owner I can top up water and feed before leaving your dog.
If your dog is happy to be walked in a group, this is a great way for your dog to get the best exercise with a pack of friends.
Please do expect that your dog will be out of your home for 1.5-2 hours, traffic dependent.

Weekend walks are available at time and a half.

30 MINUTE DOG WALK
This shorter walk is suited better for more senior dogs just wanting to stretch their paws.
The walk includes collection of your dog, 30 mins playtime, and returned back to your home.
If required by the owner I can top up water and feed before leaving your dog.

INDIVIDUAL DOG WALK
This 30 minute walk is suited to dogs that are not happy in a group. The walk includes collection of your dog, 30 mins playtime, before returning to your home. If required by the owner I can top up water and feed before leaving your dog.

I provide a visiting service for puppies and small animals including cats and rabbits.
Usually a 30 minute visit to feed, change water, clean any mess and play.
